This place is off the charts awesome. It's been around since 1991 and they are fresh, local, or organic. We had the street tacos and Buddha bowl and they were both YUMMY!!!!!

Definitely worth a stop. It's busy but worth the wait!!!!  Enjoy

this place is expensive, crowded but awesome! If you look for a brunch location that taste heavenly but not greasy at all, I would highly recommend Duluth grill. The food here was soooo good and didn't leave the heavy feeling after eating. We had the deluxe biscuits and gravy, which had homemade biscuits, topped with fried chicken breast, sausage and cheese, smothering with white sausage gravy, a side of their gigantic pancake and a orange you glad smoothie. The gravy was so creamy and flavorful; the biscuits were soft and chewy. The pancake was definitely the best pancake I have every had. It was fully and soft and moist. It definitely wasn't one of those huge thick dried pancake that dinners usually have. The orange you glad smoothie was very refreshing with a strong tumeric and ginger taste!
P/s: ask for the berry mix syrup for your pancake instead of the traditional maple syrup.  The berry mix elevated the pancake, like 10000 times.
Also, the place is crowded so you should call ahead to get your name in the wait list! The wait is typically 45mins!

This place was packed when we arrived - we had no idea it was so popular (on a Sunday afternoon) or that it had been on Food Network. We just heard it had good food! So we decided to get put on the waitlist and wait it out. We waited almost and hour and it was SO worth it. This is by far one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. My husband said it was the best in his opinion (and he lived in Seattle and ate at some of the best places there.) I am so glad we went here!
Also - SO many vegetarian and vegan options it's great!
The waitress was busy but so kind and friendly and just an awesome waitress overall. When we asked for a suggestion of what side to get she recommended the Korean Brussel Sprouts. We like sprouts ok so we said alright.
I got the back and cheese bowl with no bacon or chilis and extra broccoli and it was really good! But it was even better with the side we got - I'll get to that in a minute.
My husband bot the Bar-B-Cuban sandwich and he loved it. Said it was great.
But we both went absolutely nuts for those brussels sprouts! The waitress was spot on recommending those. They're one of the best food items we have ever had - ever! And the best part? I told the waitress I wished I knew the recipe, and she went to the kitchen and got it for me! Well, the sauce and drizzle recipes anyway, which was enough for me. How awesome is that!?
For dessert we went out on a limb. We split a macaroon just because we'd never had one before and it was great! But the waitress recommended the banana cream pie. We don't like bananas but she was so right about the sprouts that we said ok let's try it! And it was so fresh and delicious that we loved it! And it's so clearly home made in the best way. Everything here was like that - just clearly made super well and with skill and love. What a phenomenal restaurant! It deserves to be packed with people daily. I hope to go back someday whenever we are in the area again!

Another of Duluth's most popular dining stops, Duluth Grill has an expansive brunch menu inside what might best be described as a modernized family diner.

First up, the caramel roll. It was a little on the dry side and not enough caramel, as the edges were without much flavor. I wouldn't order this again, as it went mostly uneaten.

For mains, the Cali Benedict and Huevos Rancheros Skillet we're selected. The skillet was all-around good, but nothing quite pushed it up to that next tier. It had a good crunch, chorizo, lots of avocado spread, and wasn't bad. Just nothing quite took the flavor up a notch. The Cali Benedict was more of the same. The hollandaise was the best part.

I'd like to try some of their non-traditional dishes next time to get a better feel for what Duluth Grill has to offer. This visit was just fairly solid.

Do not judge this restaurant by it's name nor slogan. It's certainly not a grill nor would I say their food is typical of a family restaurant. This restaurant serves exceptionally good comfort foods using high quality, fresh and local ingredients.

Do NOT miss your chance to go to this restaurant. If you are in Duluth only once in your life, come to this restaurant.
